H2 Whoah

They're gonna charge us more for water
In the land of constant rain
But I don't remember any such hike
When I lived in bone dry Spain
They're gonna make us all have meters
Or prepay cards for those who can't
And make bathing unacceptable
Just like they outlawed watering plants
They're citing global warming
For the drought they say's to blame
Though their bonus reservoirs stayed full
Whilst they failed to fix the drains
Yet they'll wring their hands like Pilate
Come our yearly plague of floods
It was just an "Act of God" they'll say
With that well-worn corporate shrug
So only flush but once a day
And attend to dripping taps
You might also stockpile oxygen
Cos we'll soon be paying for that

Yes, but when you live in a desert, you have to expect water shortages, and they have not built enough reservoirs here for the near future! Our politicians in New Mexico are failing us!
